How Post Bridge connects to your social media accounts

Post Bridge uses secure OAuth authentication to connect to your social media accounts without requiring your passwords.

What is OAuth authentication?

OAuth is a secure authorization method provided by each social media platform. When you connect an account to Post Bridge, you're redirected to the platform's official login page where you grant permission for Post Bridge to access your account.

Post Bridge never sees or stores your social media passwords. All authentication happens directly through each platform's secure systems.

How the connection process works

When you connect a social media account:

  1. You click to connect an account in Post Bridge

  2. You're redirected to the platform's official login page

  3. You log in using your existing credentials on that platform

  4. You grant permission for Post Bridge to post on your behalf

  5. You're redirected back to Post Bridge with the connection established

Your security and control

You maintain full control over your account connections:

  • No password sharing: Post Bridge never receives your login credentials

  • Revoke access anytime: You can disconnect accounts from Post Bridge or revoke access directly from each platform

  • Platform-specific control: Each social media platform allows you to manage which apps have access to your account

You can revoke Post Bridge's access to any platform at any time through that platform's security settings, giving you complete control over your connections.

Official APIs only

Post Bridge connects to social media accounts using official OAuth APIs provided by each platform. This ensures the highest level of security and compliance with each platform's terms of service.
