your instagram account must meet instagram's own eligibility rules for trial reels: a professional (creator or business) account, a public profile, and at least 1,000 followers. instagram allows up to 5 trial reels per day.

if your account isn't eligible yet, the post will fail with a message explaining why - post it as a regular reel instead.
